The NFDA has declared support of the Bereaved Consumers Bill of Rights Act(AKA the Bereaved Consumers Bill of Rights Act or the Rush Bill). This is good for the Funeral Consumer.
The National Funeral Directors Association, NFDA, has given some support to the Bereaved Consumer Bill of Rights Act(also known as the Rush Bill, and the Bereaved Consumers Protection act) The bill which ends some funeral deceptions, and brings cemeteries under the funeral rule, contains much needed funeral and cemetery reform including some unbundling of funeral packages

Sure the NFDA has more than just a passing interest in the proposed new cemetery consumer laws/rules. The NFDA did everything they could collectively for too many years to mention to first stop the FTC's Funeral Rule (remember?). Once passed they (NFDA) tried to find any way possible to stop the FTC's Funeral Rule from becoming law until they found a way to make money on /from the Funeral Rule via FROP. I saw an article written by some radical titled FROP is a Crock somewhere in days past. Now the NFDA is behind the proposed cemetery rules/regulations…….perhaps for the same reason. Take the teeth out of any new rules/regulations as the NFDA managed to do to the Funeral Rule by incorporating these cemetery rules/regulations in a "new" FROP……what a crock……………..
The NFDA’s official legislation position on the funeral rule, they are definitely up to something in supporting this legislation as you suggest. They have made an error before Congress though in sending the IFDA Ponzi Scam Man Randall L Earl to testify before the committee.
